Planning Board minutes for Thursday September 11, 2014
The meeting opened at 7:04 p.m.
Members present: Maggie Leonard, co-chair, Larry Klein, Tom Sawyer, Alan Salamon, Roger Tryon, Stephen Enoch, co-chair.
Members absent: Barry Karson.
The minutes from August 28, 2014, were unanimously approved.
The board reviewed the application for a special permit submitted by David and Jennifer Quisenberry, 30 Bidwell Rd. The special permit is required for newly constructed steps in the 25’ side lot setback area in the lakeshore district. Reviewing the application packet, the board tried to determine from the plans what was pre-existing and what was new construction. The board is unsure if we will be able to submit a finding to the ZBA for the application.
The board discussed the concerns of the residents on Cronk Rd about the Hume Lake Camp activity. Hume has permits from the Conservation Commission for logging in the Scenic Mountains Area. Hume has plans to construct a dormitory, a maintenance garage, and a gymnasium. At this time no building permit applications have been filed for these projects. When building permits are sought then Hume will need to meet with the board for Site Plan Review.
The next Planning Board meeting falls on September 25th which Rosh Hashanah. A majority of board members will not be able to attend due to the holiday. The board agreed to resume at the next scheduled meeting on Thursday October 9, 2014.
The board worked on the 2nd draft of the Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) bylaw. See draft attached.
The board opened the mail. There were two issues of Common Ground from BRPC.
The meeting was adjourned 9:22 p.m.
